What stays on your device

Everythingyoutrack—habits,workouts,sleep,mood,symptoms,cycles,transactions,budgets,todosandjournalentries—iswrittentolocalstorageonyourphone.Thereisnoaccount,nologinandnoautomaticcloudsync,andtheappworkswiththenetworkswitchedoff.

No accounts

Wedon'tcreateaccountsorrequireloginofanykind.TheoneexceptionisGoogleDrivebackup,whichisoptionalanddescribedbelow.

AI Coach

TheAICoachistheonefeaturethatsendswhatyoulogoffthedevice,andonlywhenyousenditamessage.AcontextbundleispassedthroughourservertoAnthropic'sAPItogeneratearesponse:yourrecentscoresandstatistics,healthandworkoutlogs,pendingtodos,andyourjournalentries.Yournameisnotincluded.Youcanseetheexactcontentsbeforesending—theContextpanelabovethechatshowswhatgoeswitheverymessage.Wedonotstoreyourconversationsorthatcontextonourserveraftertheresponseisreturned;Anthropicprocessesittoproducethereply,undertheirAPIterms.Ifyouwouldrathernothingleftthedeviceatall,don'tusetheAICoach—everyotherfeatureworkswithoutit.

Anonymous usage analytics

WeuseMixpaneltocounthowfeaturesareused—screensopened,whetheraplanisfreeorpremium,howmanydaystheapphasbeenactive,andwhetheroptionalprofilefieldshavebeenfilledin.Theseareattachedtoarandomdeviceidentifiergeneratedonfirstlaunch,nottoyourname,emailoranyaccount.Weneversendthecontentsofwhatyoutrack.Ifyouwouldprefertooptout,emailprivacy@tracklifeos.appandwewilltellyouhow.

Crash reporting

WeuseSentrytoreceivecrashanderrorreportssowecanfixthem.Thesecontaintechnicaldiagnostics—devicemodel,OSversionandastacktrace—notthecontentsofyourentries.

Google Drive backup

BackinguptoGoogleDriveisoptionalandoffuntilyouconnectit.Whenyoudo,LifeOSrequestsasingleGooglepermission—theDrive"appdatafolder"scope(drive.appdata).ThisisthenarrowestDrivescopeGoogleoffersanditisdeliberatelywhatweaskfor:itgivestheappaccessonlytoahiddenfolderthatLifeOSitselfcreates.Wecannotsee,openorlistanyotherfileinyourDrive,andnothingwewritethereappearsamongyourownfiles.ThebackupitselfisasingleJSONfilecontainingwhatyouhavelogged—habits,health,workouts,finances,journal,todosandyourprofile—sothatitcanberestoredonanewphone.ItiswrittentoyourownGoogleaccount.Itneverreachesourservers,andwecannotreadit.

When a backup runs

AbackuphappenswhenyoutapBackUptoGoogleDrive,and,ifyouturnonAutoBackup,onthescheduleyouchoose—daily,weeklyormonthly.AutoBackuprunswhenyouopentheappandfindsthattheintervalhaselapsed;itdoesnotruninthebackgroundwhiletheappisclosed.LifeOSkeepsthefourmostrecentbackupsandremovesolderonesautomaticallysoyourDriveisnotfilledup.Youcanrevoketheapp'saccessatanytimeatmyaccount.google.com/permissions,anddeletethestoreddatafromGoogleDriveunderSettings→Manageapps.Revokingaccessstopsallfuturebackups;itdoesnotaffectanythingstoredonyourphone.

How we use Google user data

LifeOS'suseandtransferofinformationreceivedfromGoogleAPIstoanyotherappwilladheretotheGoogleAPIServicesUserDataPolicy,includingtheLimitedUserequirements.WeuseGoogleDriveaccesssolelytocreate,list,readanddeletethebackupfilesthatLifeOSitselfwrites.Wedonottransferthisdatatoanyone,wedonotuseitforadvertising,wedonotuseittobuildprofiles,andnohumanatLifeOSreadsit.

Subscriptions

PurchasesareprocessedbyAppleorGoogleandvalidatedthroughRevenueCat.Weneverseeyourcarddetails.RevenueCatreceivesananonymouspurchaseidentifiersoyoursubscriptioncanberestoredonanewdevice.

Your data, your control

YoucanexportordeleteallyourdataatanytimefromSettings.Deletingtheappremoveseverythingstoredonthedevice.BackupsyouhavemadetoGoogleDriveareyoursandremainuntilyoudeletethem.

Children's privacy

LifeOSisnotdirectedatchildrenunder13,andwedonotknowinglycollectpersonalinformationfromthem.

Changes to this policy

Wemayupdatethispolicy.Significantchangeswillbereflectedinthedateshownatthefootofthispage,andcontinueduseoftheappafterachangemeansyouaccepttheupdatedpolicy.
